U-22’s face Kyrgyzstan in desperate encounter for three points
Thursday, June 28th, 2012 4:50:34 by Shahrukh SohailThe Pakistani team have failed to register a win in the qualifiers and need come out on top today, if they are to stand a chance of making an impact in Saudi Arabia.
Despite the training utilized by Zavisa Milosavljevic, the Green Shirts have not yet attained three points in the U-22 Qualifiers, although they carved out some glorious chances, the strikers were unable to convert chances.
Speaking to reporters, the tactician said that he will make some key chances in the line-up to accommodate the absences of Ahsanullah and Junaid Qadir.
“As we are already missing our two key players, the injured left-back Ahsanullah and the suspended midfielder Junaid Qadir, we will try to make a fresh setting which I cannot disclose at the moment.”
He also added that current skipper Kaleemullah had failed to light up the stage, when his country needed him the most and had to undergo severe practice before he could fulfill his potential.
“Yes, Kaleem is a big disappointment. Most of the people were favouring Kaleem but you know he has scored just a single goal in the last ten matches and that too on penalty. As a captain too he failed to impress. I don’t say that he does not have potential
but I would say that he has failed to show the kind of temperament he possesses. The player will need a lot of work if he wants to play for Pakistan in future,” the Serbian was quoted as saying.
