Drogba to arrive in China shortly

The former Chelsea striker will be landing in Shanghai to meet up with his new teammates and start his career in the Far East.

When Drogba put pen to paper on a multi-million deal for Shanghai Shenhua, it became clear that Chinese football was on the rise.

Now with reports linking Real Madrid’s want away midfielder Kaka with  switch, things have become much more serious and the League has started to receive it’s far share of media attention.

However the crowning achievement will be the arrival of Drogba, which according to club officials is not far away anymore.

"The (Shenhua) club told me his (Drogba) arrival will be on July 13th at the latest. Certainly I wish he could arrive as early as possible,” said new boss Sergio Batistuta.

Drogba is set earn a oodles of cash in the upcoming League and will be hoping to take the team up the rankings, who also have his former teammate Nicolas Anelka within their ranks.

With a spot in the AFC Champions League, the Ivorian could yet come across some tight game situations, but owing to his immense experience at the highest level, the transfer is bound to be a win-win situation for both club and player.
