Danny Garcia, the current WBC light welterweight champion, hates critics. The 24-year-old is being bashed by the naysayers for being an underdog in his upcoming bout with Amir Khan, the former WBA super world light welterweight champion.
At the moment, Danny is being treated as a B-grade belligerent who has been carefully embroidered in a scenario to hold the WBC light welterweight gold. This is not the fact at all. Danny truly possesses the ability, stamina, talent, skills, and all other aspects required for nailing a former world champion like Amir.
A look at his professional resume alone will not give a clear picture as to what the Philadelphia lad has in store of him. One must look at his amateur career, the way he fights, and the pattern and strategies he uses in the ring to obliterate his opponents.
Garcia is considered among one of the most versatile and talented pugilists in the light welterweight division who, just like Khan, has built himself a pretty intimidating name. Danny has been given the nick Swift definitely for some reason.
The orthodox lad is well known for his powerful and agile frontal attacks. Garcia does not look back at his corner once he is in the ring. The scenario is somewhat like an animal unleashed in an arena. He has nailed almost 110 plus opponents in his amateur career, whereas Khan though also has a startling amateur career yet has not fought that much opponents.
Furthermore, Danny just like Amir grabbed his first professional world title in 2009 that is almost at the age of 21 or 22. The important facet of Danny is his strikingly unique brawling style which gives him somewhat an inhuman upper edge over his opponents.
Danny has the ability to drill in any opponent’s defence. Garcia can make his way through the toughest defence and can easily knock the opponent out. When his powerful jabs are added up with his swift speed and agility, the combo becomes a truly lethal one.
His above mentioned combo has annihilated quite respectable names in the division. Kendall Holt strived hard to evade the young lad’s attack but was overwhelmed by his reach and quick take on. Nate Campbell also remained in the ring until the last second of the last round just figuring out a way to knock the Pennsylvanian out but was shocked at realising that Danny is flawless.
The burden of telling the world that Danny is a hoax and a lad full of lies and not talent fell on the shoulders of legendary Erik Morales. The Mexican later on went out of the ring with a unanimous loss without shaking hands with Garcia junior.
Khan does not have a powerful chin, Maidana proved it by knocking down Khan in the 10th round of his 12-round bout. Moreover, Amir also has the deficiency to move back after throwing a jab. Danny’s both above mentioned prolific facets force me to conclude that Garcia junior has what it takes to beat Amir Khan.
Amir needs to take on Danny wittingly. He needs to outfox him as the straightforward frontal attack will only aid Danny and not Khan. The duo will meet at the Mandalay Bay Resorts & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
