Prime Minister Raja Pervez orders uninterrupted funding for Balochistan’s development projects
Monday, July 2nd, 2012 4:30:20 by Faisal FarooqIn order to win back the people of Balochistan, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Monday said the government despite its financial constraints will continue appropriate funding for public welfare programmes of the province.
While presiding a high-level meeting on Balochistan, the newly elected premier reviewed the law and order situation, progress on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package and other developmental projects in the province.
Ashraf, in his very first speech in the National Assembly, pledged that Balochistan issue will be on his priority list. He also invited Baloch nationalist leaders to start dialogue with the government to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
In his view, the province is a significant part of the country because of its strategic location and natural resources. He further said that the maintenance of peace in the region was of greatest importance.
The premier noted, “The federal government is fully aware of the past excesses made to the people and the Province which caused a serious sense of deprivation. The PPP has been taking into account seriously the factors resulting in discontentment of the people of Balochistan and continuing unrest since assumption of power”.
In a bid to improve the law and order situation in the region, he said the government introduced Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package with 61 proposals. He further stated that a Cabinet Committee headed by Senator Raza Rabbani was also formed to minutely review the situation in the province.
Ashraf informed that the incumbent government has tendered an unconditional apology to the people of Balochistan besides making efforts to find out the solution of the issues.
He also vowed, “The government has committed 6000 scholarships for the youth of the province for higher studies within the country and abroad. It is especially focusing on establishment of vocational and technical centers at the Provincial and Divisional Headquarters of the Province”.
The prime minister also urged the provincial government to speed up its efforts for protecting the high ways and key installations of gas and electricity equipment. Asking the authorities concerned to curb kidnapping for ransom with iron hands, he said the government withdrew politically motivated cases against nationalist politicians.
Ashraf also said that a number of missing persons have been reunited with their families in the recent months.

As its on your priority list dear Mr Prime Minister, I am absolutel reassured the Balochistan issue will only get aggaravted, just as the power and electricity problems did under your respectful command.
Blochistan issue will remian on the PM’s priority list until his last day in his office, but nothing will be done.
PPP and its alliance parties has lost crediability and faith…
