Latif Khosa tells judiciary to end double standards

Lahore: (Wednesday, July 04, 2012) Governor Punjab, Sardar Latif Khosa said here today that judges should submit affidavit after taking plots, otherwise the double standards should be put to an end.

The Supreme Court, while overruling the speaker’s ruling, had removed the prime minister, however, it did not allow the parliament to discuss the matter pertinent to the judges acquiring plots.

Talking to the journalists on the occasion of International Business Conference, Khosa said that if the parliamentarians could be sent home, then why not those holy cows taking two plots on submission of false affidavits could
not be charged for their crimes.

He said, “if Arsalan in Monti Carlo loses 10,000 pounds in a night then is it also the conspiracy of Peoples’ Party”

Commenting on government’s recent decision according to which it has decided to reopen the NATO supply routes, Khosa said that “Pakistan’s victory on Nato supply issues was also a victory of democracy.”

He was of the view that the decision on resuming the Nato supply was not made for money. He said, “Afghanistan is our neighbouring country and it could not be left alone in hard time.”
