Lahore: (Wednesday, July 04, 2012) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said here today that the decision to restore Nato supplies to Afghanistan is the negation of the Parliament’s resolution.
Condemning this act of the government, Imran Khan said that by reopening the NATO supply line, the country will get entangled in the same war which gained no support from anywhere in the world.
The PTI chief said that the USA has not offered an apology; rather, it has only expressed regret over the Salala check post incident.
Imran said that in order to disrupt the ongoing war in Afghanistan, the NATO supply lines should not have been opened. He was of the view that through this decision, Pakistan will only earn a few dollars and nothing else.
Saying that the current Parliament has done nothing except for fulfilling its pockets, PTI chairman demanded resignation of the parliamentarians.
Khan was of the view that at this occasion, both Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazl ur Rahman should have been in the country. He said that both them go abroad during these-like occasions.
Imran said that in reality, it was General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani who has decided to restore the NATO supply, however, he said, since there is democracy in the country, he was not to ask this question from the Army chief.
