Amir Khan’s nose cut while sparring for fight with Danny Garcia

Former WBA and IBF light welterweight champion, Amir Khan, will take on the current WBC light welterweight champion, Danny Garcia, in a much-anticipated fight on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Arena & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada but in a recent sparring session, the Brit ended up with a cut in the upper area of the nose.

Fighthype.com first confirmed the news via their Twitter account, in which they posted a picture of Khan with a cut on his nose. As per the reports, an elbow to the bridge of nose was responsible for the cut.

Nevertheless, not many of Khan’s fans are worried since the cut which was shown in the picture never looked to be very deep. Furthermore, it also looked to be healing.

Khan’s fight with Garcia is one of the most eagerly awaited bouts out there because it has now become a unification bout, with the WBA and IBF titles on the line.

In order to prepare for Garcia, Khan is training under the ‘Hall of Fame’ trainer Freddie Roach day in and day out at the Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, CA because things have been really heated between both camps.

Garcia’s father, Angel Garcia, has done a lot of trash talk against Khan’s country and religion as a result to which the Bolton man, who carries a record of winning 26 of his 28 professional fights (1 no contest), with 18 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, has promised Garcia’s father that he will teach his son a bitter lesson in the ring.

“Listen, I ain’t never, never, never in my lifetime that I’ve been living, 49 years, I ain’t never met a Pakistani that can fight, and I’m being honest to you, and I ain’t beating around the bush, and I ain’t trying to sound racist or nothing. I’m being honest,” stated Angel Garcia during an explosive video interview, which was released on RingTV.com.

Well, all said and done, there is not much time left Khan and Garcia will step in the ring so let’s see who wins on the night.
