Amir Khan vs. Danny Garcia: Khan has a vicious game plan

Former IBF and WBA light welterweight titlist Amir Khan is confident he will beat WBC light welterweight titlist Danny Garcia on July 14.

Khan will be facing Garcia at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The Briton proud has been revealing about his training and sparring sessions, so much that it seems like he has a vicious plan to knockout the unbeaten American fighter.

“In the end, it’s only going to be me and him in the ring and I know exactly what I need to do in there,” said Khan in a recent media interaction.

It should be noted here that Khan has maintained his calm very well over the last few days. Garcia and his father have been throwing racism comments on Khan, yet the British-Pakistani boxer has kept quiet.

“I’m not going to retaliate to Danny’s father or Danny himself. I’ve been in this situation so many times. I’m a professional fighter and I’m going to let my fists do the talking,” Khan said.

On the other hand, Danny Garcia, who is among the top young pugilists in the world today, believes Khan has nothing special to offer. Garcia showed great respect towards Khan’s accomplishments, yet condemned his fighting styles and the opponents he has faced.

“I think it’s the perfect time for this fight. I’m the champion and he calls himself the best. If he calls himself the best, then he has to beat the champion. To me, it’s just another guy in my way trying to defeat me, but it ain’t gonna happen,” said Garcia.

Both fighters will go head to head with each other in just two weeks. The war of words between the two has already reached its acme, leaving no room for a half way house. In other words, it is now a test for both of them to prove their mettle. Whoever wins will be the better man on July 14.
