Danny Garcia: To me Amir Khan just another guy!

The current WBC light welterweight champion, Danny Garcia, is set to take on Amir Khan on July 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and he is fully confident of pulling an upset.

The 25-year-old Bolton man, who carries a record of winning 26 of his 28 professional fights (1 no contest), with 18 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, is considered as one of the best British boxers out there at this point in time.

The Brit will also enter the ring as a red-hot favorite against Garcia. However, the American pugilist, who holds an unbeaten record of winning all of his 23 professional fights, with 14 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, is completely unnerved since he believes Khan has not fought anyone like him till now.

While speaking on his inclusion, Garcia insisted that Khan is just another fighter to him and he knows what the outcomes of the fight will be.

Taking a swipe at Khan, Garcia told The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com’s official audio show, “I think it’s the perfect time for this fight. I’m the champion and he calls himself the best. If he calls himself the best, then he has to beat the champion. To me, it’s just another guy in my way trying to defeat me, but it ain’t gonna happen”

On the other hand Khan, more commonly known as King Khan, didn’t do any trash talk since he feels his fists will do the talking on the fight night.

Boxing Scene editor Jake Donovan quoted Khan, who said, “In the end, it’s only going to be me and him in the ring and I know exactly what I need to do in there,” said Khan.

Well, all said and done, Khan and Garcia’s fight is one of the most eagerly awaited fights out there because Khan has called it his last fight at 140 lbs division. Moreover, it will have WBA and WBC titles on the lines.

Let’s see if Danny Garcia can really protect his unbeaten record against Khan.
