Islamabad: (Friday, July 06, 2012) Richard Hoagland, the Deputy Chief of Mission for US Embassy in Pakistan said here today that there was no new agreement with Pakistan regarding the reopening of the NATO supply route.
Talking to the journalists, after the orientation for the Fulbright scholarship recipients, Hoagland said, “relations were resumed from the point where they had been left in November last year.”
The Deputy Chief of Mission was of the view that reopening of the NATO supply will help eliminate the trust deficit in Pakistan and United States relations.
He said, “There are difference on the issue of Dr Shakil Afridi and the work of US diplomats but these issues were not part of the recent negotiations between the two countries.”
