Will David Haye vs Dereck Chisora fight redeem the heavyweight division!

Friday, July 6th, 2012 4:48:51 by

Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and former British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora will lock horns on July 14 at the West Ham’s Upton Park Stadium in east London, in a fight which is one of the most eagerly anticipated fights out there. However, the question is whether if the two archrivals will be able to show the fans what they want or not?

Haye and Chisora literally came down to blows in Munich in February, when they clashed at a post-fight press conference which followed Chisora’s loss to Vitali Klitschko and this is a main reason why there fight has created an enormous hype among the boxing fans. Perhaps because they all believe that finally they will get to see an explosive fight after many years.

Both Haye and Chisora are not licensed by the British Board of Boxing Control (BBBoC) because after the brawl Chisora’s license was withdrawn whereas Haye already retired from the sport last year.

Well, all said and done, the point is whether if the two will be able to provide an explosive fight or not.

If we see some the credentials of both boxers, it looks as if their fight is going to live up to the expectations because Haye, who is commonly known as the Hayemaker, always likes to go for the kill.

The 31-year-old brash Londoner holds a record of winning 25 of his 27 professional fights, with 23 of them coming by the way of a knockout.

Though Chisora doesn’t have that much knockout percentage, almost everyone knows that he also has the potential to make any boxer look bad and this is a reason why he pushed Vitali to the full distance.

Another reason behind is the image of both boxers. Haye had clearly stated that he would only return to the ring, if he gets a chance against the Klitschko brother. Therefore, he will try his best to win in order to justify his return. He is looking forward to set up a potential fight with Vitali as well, which is another reason why he will put in his 100 percent against Chisora.

On the other hand, Chisora too desperately needs wants to get back under the main lights by securing a win over Haye.

Keeping these facts in front, it is fair to say that after a long time boxing fans will finally see what is called a true heavyweight contest.

i think that david haye will win this fight, he is a very masculine man 🙂

It should be an entertaining fight. After 4 or 5 close rounds I think that David Haye will eventually catch Chisora and knock him out.
