It has third-party applications like Netflix, Pandora, Hulu Plus, HBO Go and MLB.TV. Also, it has opened doors for unregistered application to be downloaded from the web. However, most of them do not work properly but it is worth a shot.
It connects to the television via HDMI. With WiFi 802.11 b/g/n radio receiver, it connects to the web seamlessly. The streaming is uniform and there are no clippings while playing videos or streaming music. It can also stream media content from a local host (smartphone, tablet or PC) wireless via Bluetooth.
Though it does not have an attractive interface like Apple TV but that works for the specs of the device.
Amazon Kindle
After the release of Google Nexus 7 for $199, the market has no mercy in spare for Amazon’s media tablet, Kindle Fire that is on sale for the same price tag. The lack of some specs that Google offers in the new Nexus 7 makes Kindle Fire a hard sell in the new market. Amazon’s ecosystem makes it even more astonishing. If you have the Premium membership with the Kindle, you are undoubtedly in for a treat.
In addition to reading books and magazines, the device can also be used to browse simple internet services like email online shopping sites, et cetera.
