Amir Khan: We’re going to bring the ‘A’ game to the table!

Former IBF and WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan will lock horns with the undefeated American prospect Danny Garcia on July 14 at the West Ham Upton Park Stadium in east London and he has promised his fans of a great fight.

The Bolton’s finest, who holds a record of winning 26 of his 28 professional fights, with 18 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, was scheduled for a rematch with Lamont Peterson in May but the fight was cancelled after Peterson came positive on using the illegal substance.

However, Khan believes cancellation of the fight with Peterson has helped him a lot for his fight with Garcia.

While speaking on his inclusion, the Brit, who is more commonly known as King Khan, insisted that he is in the best shape of his life right now because he has had a very long training camp. He further added that he is confident of becoming the first man ever to defeat Garcia in the ring.

He said, “Training camp has gone really well. It’s been a very long camp for me because of the first fight that got called off against Lamont Peterson, so I’ve still kept training and we’ve just been very professional and focused on what we need to do. The game plan not really changes much because it’s quite similar fighters. We’re going to be more than ready.”

Khan remarked, “We’re going to bring the ‘A’ game to the table and come July 14 we’re going to put on a great fight for the fans and for all the fans watching at home. I’m looking forward to it and hopefully the game plan that we have for the fight will be perfect and we’ll win the fight.”

Khan and Garcia’s fight initially had the WBC title on the line but now it will also have the WBA title on the line.

Well, all said and done, let’s see if Khan can really beat Garcia on the fight now because a win will certainly open many doors for him.
