David Haye: I am looking forward to dominate Dereck Chisora and beat him in all areas!
Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 12:18:36 by Imran Shaukat KhanFormer WBA heavyweight champion, David Haye, is all set to take on his archrival Dereck Chisora on July 14 at the West Ham Upton Park Stadium in east London and he is fully geared up ahead of his grudge match.
Chisora, former British heavyweight champion, has lost three out of his last four fights but he impressed many out there in February by pushing the 6 ft 7 in Ukrainian giant all the distance.
However, Haye doesn’t want his fight to the full distance and perhaps this is a reason why he is looking forward to knockout Chisora on the fight night.
“We know that [Vitali] Klitschko struggled over 12 rounds against Dereck and won the fight, but it was a competitive fight,” Haye told the Daily Telegraph. “The manner in which I’m looking at destroying Dereck will send shock waves around the world. My aim is for this fight not to be competitive; it’s to go out there and dominate Dereck and beat him in all areas.
While speaking on his inclusion, the 31-year-old, who is more commonly known as the Hayemaker, also revealed that he wants to set up a fight with the reigning WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko, after beating Chisora.
“Then people can make a straight-up comparison between myself and Vitali, and, if the boxing world feels they want to see who is the best between myself and Vitali, then it’s a good fight for me to take.”
Well, all said and done, only time will tell if Haye can defeat someone like Chisora in the ring because in his last fight against Wladimir Klitschko he was not only non-competitive, but he was timid and seemed to shy away from combat.
The main reason behind was apparently the pressure since he promised a lot of things before the fight. Still let’s see if Haye produces something impressive against Chisora, as a win over his Del Boy will certainly bring him back under the main lights.
