Director Trishul: No one can match Veena Malik’s calibre!

The controversial queen of Pakistan, Veena Malik, is the talk of the town at this point in time and the main reason behind is the Kannada remake of Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’, in which Malik will play a lead role.

However, ever since ‘Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga’ has went on the floors, it has been a talking point in Gandhinagar and the latest protest staged in the area is against the choice of Malik with a demand that she be replaced by an Indian actor.

The news has not gone well with the director of the movie, Trishul, as he believes nationality has nothing to do with acting.

“India is a democratic country and I have the freedom to do what I want, including making a film of my choice. We’re not doing anything wrong. Let them take me on. I know how to answer them. I don’t have any objectionable content in my film, so why should I feel guilty? Let them watch the movie and then decide if there’s anything offensive in it,” said the director.

“What does her nationality have to do with acting? I don’t think that everyone from Pakistan is a trouble maker. Don’t we have traitors in our own country?” asked Trishul.

While speaking on his inclusion, Trishul commended the Pakistani starlet by saying that there is no one out there of her calibre.

Malik, who rose to fame during her stint in the Big Boss house, has always remained in the news for wrong reasons. Nevertheless, Trishul insisted that people have only seen one side of Veena Malik thus far and they will see the other side in his film.

“Nobody in Sandalwood, Tollywood, Bollywood or Kollywood can match Veena’s calibre. She’s an all-rounder. Until now, people have only seen one side of Veena. I will portray the other side in my film,” asserted Trishul.

Well, all said and done, the Bengali version of the film in which Rakhi Sawant was supposed to play the lead role has been stalled due to Ekta Kapoor, who made the original film. So let’s see if Malik’s film really gets a chance to hit the cinemas.
