POL prices to go up from July 16

Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the government seeking permission to increase the petroleum prices by Rs 1.50 to Rs 5.50 per litre.
The new rates will be effective from July 16 onwards.
As per the details of the summary, petrol prices are likely to go up by Rs 1.96 per litre, HOBC will see the prices going up by Rs 5.64 per litre, the Kerosene oil will be costlier by Rs 1.94 and the Light Diesel will go up by
Rs 1.62 per litre.
However, with regard to the prices of high-speed diesel oil, a proposal seeking one rupee decline in the prices have been sent to the government.
