Alien Ant Farm hit the studios to record new album
Thursday, July 12th, 2012 12:10:38 by Haris AnsariAlien Ant Farm, an American alternative rock band, has reportedly entered the studio to record a new album, which should hit the stores in 2013. The band released their last studio album, Up in the Attic, way back in 2006.
The American band has chose Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, and will be working with Johnny K along with other producers.
Dryden Mitchell, the band’s vocalist and rhythm guitarist, has revealed that everyone is excited about this new album, and has confessed that they are planning to come out with a new sound.
“The band is extremely fired up about going into this record. We’ve had the fortune in the past to work with some of the best in the business (Jay Baumgardner, the DeLeo brothers, Jim Wirt, James Murray) in some of the greatest studios (NRG, Conway, Glitter Dungeon)”
“Johnny K is no exception to the batting average, and his studio in Chicago rivals all the greats. We all plan on a ‘newer’ sound for the band, at the same time keeping other pop-rock bands in check. This ain’t your soccer mom’s band, but she can come backstage for an hour or two”, Mitchell said in a recent interview.
Alien Ant Farm will be recording the new album for the first time with the band’s original line-up since 2003, as Terry Corso and Tye Zamora rejoined the group in 2008.
