LIT brings new shape to motorbikes yet it cannot be called one – Part 1

The automobile industry is evolving at a fast pace. It is not ancient history that car makers introduced a new concept of connected cars. The basic idea was to connect the cars to the internet and integrate social networking and other online services to the cars. Now the automobiles are shirking to the utmost levels.

A new venture in the US, known as the LIT, is in the process of bringing a hybrid car, C1. However, it is not the typical hybrid with a gas engine and an electric motor to provide the owner with the best fuel efficiency. It is another kind of a hybrid that merges the basic aesthetics of a car and a motorcycle giving it an extremely small footprint and a light weight structure. it also is safer than most of the cars in many ways.

The new design of this car/motorcycle is very innovative and not only due to new concept it has a different and out-of-the-box design but also it is different from security and safety point of view.

Although there are only two or three motorcycle-related aspects in the car, including the shape, it does not have any of its dangerous quirks. Engineers at LIT have invented a new safety mechanism in the car that keeps it standing even if it does not have a support. Only when the vehicle is turned completely off, it has to take the support of the kick-stand on the right side, like a motorcycle.

On the other hand, it has all comforts of a car, a steering wheel, speedometer, rpm gauge, seats, braking and acceleration paddle. As it runs on an electric motor, that takes it from 0-60 in just over 6 seconds, it does not have a gear-shift and clutch mechanism.
