Emanuel Steward: Dereck Chisora can easily set up Wladimir Klitschko fight, if he beat David Haye!

Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward believes Dereck Chisora can easily set up a mega fight with the current the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO & The Ring heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko, if he passes David Haye’s test tonight.

Haye and Chisora will lock horns tonight at the West Ham Upton Park Stadium in east London, in a fight that is fuelled by bad blood.

Haye will enter the ring as a red-hot favorite against Chisora, as Del Boy has lost last three of his four fights. However, Steward reckons if somehow Chisora manages to upset Haye in front of a crowd of over 30,000 people, he can easily set up a fight with Wladimir.

Chisora had his license suspended since he remained involved in different controversies before and after his world title fight with Vitali Klitschko.

He threatened to have Haye shot at the end of a week in which he also slapped Vitali at the weigh-in and then spat water at Wladimir before the first bell sounded.

Previously Chisora signed to fight Wladimir twice but the fights were cancelled due to Wladimir’s injuries.

Keeping all these facts in front, Steward believes it will be very easy for anyone to promote a fight between Wladimir and Chisora.

Steward told ‘On the Ropes Boxing Radio’, “You’ll have some guys like David Haye who’ll talk himself up, and become a big star and a big challenger without even doing anything. But you know, one of the ideal situations, to me would be, you know Wladimir doesn’t think it’s going to happen, it would be for Dereck Chisora to win……

….and if Chisora won, it’ll make it a very promotable and interesting fight between Chisora and Wladimir, because Chisora’s having signed to fight Wladimir once, maybe twice, but the fights were cancelled, due to Wladimirs injuries. He spit the water into Wladimir’s face, slapping Wladimir’s brother. And if he can beat David Haye in this fight, that would be very big.”

Well, all said and done, Haye also wants to set up a fight with Vitali after beating Chisora tonight so let’s see if Chisora shocks the world by upsetting him.
