Fazlur Rehman blames Israel for Kashmir violence
Saturday, July 14th, 2012 9:33:34 by Faisal FarooqLashing out the foreign hands involved in Kashmir, Chairman Special Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has blamed Israel for spreading violence in the Indian-held-Kashmir.
In his view, Israel inducted armed personnel in the beautiful valley in the guise of tourists, aiming at destroying peace of the region.
His statement came on ‘Kashmir Martyrs Day’, a day observed by Kashmiris to commemorate the sacrifices made in 1931 by the 21 Kashmiris who lost their lives in a revolt against the Dogra Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.
An official statement issued by his office read, “Recently, Israel has inducted more armed personnel in Kashmir who have arrived under the guise of tourists”. He also claimed that the Indian security forces were being assisted directly by the United States and Israeli Army.
The statement further added, “The US and Israeli military personnel are assisting over 800,000 Indian soldiers posted in Indian Kashmir”.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief blamed India for permitting the involvement of foreign forces in the Indian-held-Kashmir, adding that the Israeli and American security forces along with the local troops were openly violating human rights in the region.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his faith in a favorable end-result for the Kashmir dispute saying, “Whatever India may do, it will eventually grant freedom to Indian Kashmir. History is witness to the fact that a nation that is determined to clinch freedom can’t be kept in bondage for an unlimited period of time”.
Moreover, the chairman of the Kashmir Committee was of the opinion that the international community was now increasingly aware of the turmoil in the region and voices were being raised against the plight of the local residents.
He said that the Kashmiris were indeed a valiant and brave people and the history of their freedom struggle was longer than of Indians of Pakistanis. Hence, he further said that India would not be able to enslave Kashmiris for long.

There you go again. I don’t see any strategic logic for presence of Israel military personnel in Kashmir? And for God sake put this Kashmir mantra aside. Pakistan has paid a very heavy price for sticking to a policy which has drained its human and financial resources and created this jehadi mentality.
