Imran blames his opponents of lacking guts and merit
Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 7:20:24 by Fayyaz YaseenIslamabad: (Tuesday, July 17, 2012) Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI), said here today that his opponents are week.
Talking to the journalists, the chief of Pakistan’s most emerging party said that one of his opponents gained power on advice of his wife, while the other could only make a way into the power corridors with assistance of General
Jilani.
He said, “None of them came into power on their feet or because of their merit.”
Adding to his remarks, Khan reiterated his resolve to not to form a coalition with any of the parties sitting in the Parliament.
While on the on-set, Khan’s allegations seem mere political sloganeering, in reality, they mark one of the gravest truths of the history of Pakistan.
Except for Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who too initially used Ayub Khan’s shoulders to make an entrance to the power corridors of the country, none of the present leaders struggled their ways into power houses on their own. Rather, at
some point or the other, they were all provided with external helps.
On the contrary, starting from scratch, Khan took about 17 years in reaching to the present level of popularity where he has emerged among the few politicians whose credibility, honesty and dedication for this country is beyond
doubt.
