In Easy Steps: How to replace the broken iPhone 4/4S screen – Part 1

The omnipresence of Apple products is one thing, being user-friendly, their damages and repairs are another thing. Being in a uni-body design, Apple products are hard to repair from a novice’s angle. However, there are simple ways to mend some of the damages to them. iPhone’s ubiquitous presence in the market also has a drawback, especially the iPhone 4S that has glass sheets on the front and bottom.

Though the back can be removed easily by letting loose two screws and sliding open the cover. However, the screen, as it goes with Apple products, is a  work cut out for a patient and tech-savvy person. But it is not to say that the task is impossible.

The following part of the post will guide you through the process of replacing iPhone 4/4S’ front screen in easy steps. However, follow them carefully as they need immense attention to details.

First, make it sure whether you should and could perform the task by yourself. There are certain other ways to replace the screen, for example warranty claim or a repair shop.

Before starting to pry loose everything inside the smartphone, take note of the following things.

If your iPhone is still under AppleCare+ or any other damage repair warranty package, please, refrain from undertaking the do-it-yourself task and refer to the claim centre for the repair.

This task can be followed for the screen repair on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S but there are certain components and screws that have different location on different models and different carriers, for example motherboard screws and vibration motor.
