President Zardari urges continual of dialogue with Lyari people
Saturday, July 21st, 2012 10:23:44 by Faisal FarooqExpressing fears over the deteriorating law and order situation in Lyari, President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the provincial authorities not to abandon the dialogue-process with people of the area.
While chairing a meeting of the Core Committee of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Sindh, the president said the doors for negotiation s with Lyari people should not be closed.
According to the media reports, President Zardari also expressed dissatisfaction with the provincial authorities over non-completion of renovation project of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine despite passage of four years.
Earlier, in his message on the occasion of arrival of Ramzan, the president urged the nation to make pledge to foster unity and harmony in their ranks and promote feelings of sacrifice in the holy month.
Expressing the hope that Muslims all across the globe will take benefit from the blessings of the holy month, he said, “This blessed month every year provides a unique opportunity to Muslims during which they not only gain benevolence and bounty of Allah but purge their selves and have more fear of Allah in hearts”.
President Zardari said the holy month of blessings imparts teachings to humans to restrain their self and control the worldly desires while praying to the Almighty Allah. It gives us the lessons of brotherhood, tolerance, restraint and mutual sympathy.
In order to eradicate extremism, terrorism and sectarianism from the country, the presided said the nation should make efforts to seek favor from Allah and undertake all endeavors to reform the society in the holy month of Ramzan.
President Zardari remarked, “This is a month of improvement of self and during this month, the objective of fasting is self-restraint, sacrifice, mutual sympathy and feelings. Allah Almighty should give us the strength that we benefit from the blessings and bounty of the month of Ramzan and improve life in this world and hereafter”.
Urging the society to work for the progress and prosperity of the country, he asked it to make exemplary services for those people who were facing exploitation.
