Anastasia, who was poisoned at number two in Women’s Singles seeding of the event, showed her elevated skills and thrashed her lower ranked compatriot in an inspiring fashion.
The higher ranked Anastasia proved her superior class in all aspects of the game as she played with impressive control and easily registered a remarkable victory over opponent.
Yulia, who was seeded at number three in the draw, was helpless against the spirited play of her higher ranked compatriot as she had no answer to the positive and aggressive play of her challenger and lost the match without showing her class.
It was Anastasia who controlled the bird and dictated her rival from the starting points of opening game and also maintained her focus with wonderful skills.
The second seeded Russian shuttler did not take much time in grabbing a good lead and maintained the difference on the score board until the one-minute interval in opening set.
After the interval, Anastasia remained consistent her flawless run on court and she did not commit unforced errors and also maintained the pace of rallies to remain in commanding position.
The aggressive Anastasia was in good form and she easily grabbed first set with a stunning margin of 21-13.
Yulia changed her tactics in the second set as she started to employ fast drop shots coupled with net shots but failed to take any benefit as her higher ranked opponent was in complete control.
The aggressive Anastasia maintained her speed and took a superb lead until the end of opening half.
Anastasia continued her impressive play after the mid-game interval and remained successful in taking the second game in a sensational fashion by a superb 21-12 score on the board.
The lofty Anastasia emerged as victorious in this Women’s Singles semi-final clash with a commanding margin of 21-13 and 21-12.
