The world of celebrity can be a fickle one, especially when it comes to relationships. While some couples seem to meet and settle down forever, others tend to bounce backwards and forwards. It can’t be easy sustaining a relationship in the public eye, and
many don’t seem to have the secret to staying together. Here are a few examples of celebrity couples who have split up and got back together several times.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga has been very vocal about how her work is more important than her love life. However, when she met "Vampire Diaries" actor, Taylor Kinney, it seemed that she might have started to change her mind! The couple met while filming Mother Monster’s video
for "You and I," and they dated for ten months before breaking up. Predictably, Gaga’s busy schedule was cited as the reason for the split, but in early June, the pair was spotted kissing in Singapore.

Cheryl and Ashley Cole

Cheryl and Ashley Cole were once the golden couple of the UK, but when Ashley cheated on Chezza for the first time, everything changed. Cheryl took him back, only for him to cheat on her again in 2010, leading to their divorce. Last year, rumours were rife
that Cheryl had taken him back, even going as far as to suggest that they were planning to start a family together. However, in September 2011, reports revealed that the "Call My Name" singer had finally called time on their relationship for good.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus first met Liam Hemsworth way back in 2009, on the set of their movie, "The Last Song." Everything seemed perfect between them until August 2010, when they broke up for the first time. They allegedly got back together a month later, but ended
things again in November of the same year. At the start of 2011, they rekindled their romance and this time, it looks like they’re in it for the long haul, because they recently announced their engagement!

Katy Perry and Rob Ackroyd

Since her divorce from Russell Brand, Katy Perry has been linked to many men. However, the one who finally got the "I Kissed A Girl" singer was Rob Ackroyd of Florence and the Machine. They got together in April this year, but reportedly broke up after a
short romance. Now, it looks like it’s all back on again after they were seen having dinner together in London. Who knows how long it will last, but for now, this on/off relationship is definitely back on.

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton

It’s hard to remember a time when the former Pussycat Dolls star wasn’t joined at the hip to her Formula One superstar boyfriend! The gorgeous couple had been together for four years when they announced their split in 2011, however, they soon reunited, and
hopefully things will work out for them this time around!
