Prince Fahd of Saudi Arabia calls President Zardari

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s prince Fahad bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, who also happens to be the Governor of Tabuk, called President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday Evening. According to the sources, the call was made to convey Ramadan
Greetings.

Reciprocating the brotherly gesture, President Zardari also conveyed his best wishes on commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan to the Prince Fahad bin Sultan, the Royal Family and the people of Saudi Arabia and prayed that the
holy month may bring peace, prosperity and joy to all.

President Zardari also conveyed his greetings to Khadim Al-Harmain Al-Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.

During his conversation with Prince Fahad bin Sultan, the President said that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy special relations that are deep-rooted in common faith, traditions and commonality of views.

Referring to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia, President Zardari said that he was very pleased with the outcome of this visit. He also thanked the Saudi King for giving audience to the Prime Minister
in which a wide range of issues including bilateral and regional matters were discussed.

The President also thanked Saudi King for announcing a grant of US $ 100 million for the people of Pakistan saying that this gesture reflected the love and affection for Pakistani people.
