British High Commission regards fake visas as global issue

Islamabad: (Thursday, July 26, 2012) British High Commission in Pakistan, Adam Thomson, while addressing a press conference here today said that no evidence of fake passport could be traced as yet and they haven’t observed anyone
travelling to Britain as part of the Olympic visa scandal.

Thomas, who was addressing the reporters at Islamabad Club, Thomson said that fake visas was global phenomenon, however, Britain was satisfied with Pakistan passport and visa issue system.

Although the British High Commission praised NADRA, but said that a mistake could be made.

Following the allegations from ‘the sun’ the English newspaper, Pakistan has decided to take legal actions against it.

The decision to take legal actions against the paper was taken by Pakistan federal cabinet after it was found that no wrongdoing was done on part of the NADRA officials.
