The platform Steam from Valve held in June his usual survey of hardware to measure how they are distributed equipment and components.

Now the results of the survey reveals that there has been a remarkable growth of low-end computers using the Steam platform.

Underlines the increase of machines with dual processors or a single core using DirectX 9 graphics technology as a base.

Gabe Newell of Valve has publicly demonstrated its fear of the arrival of Windows 8operating system from Microsoft as a leader and defended the entrance to the Linux operating system on Steam.

The reasons for this growth in low-end PCs can be at the height of the portable and the expansion of independent games.

The statistic continues to set the resolutions used, with 1920×1080 with 25%, with 18% 1366×768 and 1600×900 with 7%.
