Twitter war between Oscar De La Hoya and 50 Cent: Is Floyd Mayweather done with Golden Boy?

One of the most renowned American rappers, 50 Cent, has stepped into the boxing world as a promoter and as per the reports he has formed his own promotional company called TMT Promotions.

The name TMT (The Money Team) has been suggested to 50 Cent by his best friend Floyd Mayweather junior, who is rated as the best pound-for-pound best boxer in the world.

50 Cent has received a promoter’s license in New York and he is about to get one in the state of Nevada as well.

However, as soon as the news of 50 Cent came out, it was only a matter of time before one of the most established boxing promoters, Oscar De La Hoya, took a shot at him.

The animosity started when De La Hoya tweeted, “Everyone wanting to be a boxing promoter? Good luck. Easier said then done.”

Although De La Hoya didn’t mention 50 Cent in his tweet, the rapper read the meanings in between the lines and lashed out at the former champion.

During the back-and-forth Twitter war, 50 Cent surprised everyone by saying that Mayweather will not be working with Golden Boy Promotions anymore.

50 Cent wrote, “Sweetheart, I’m surprised you would respond to me and Floyd starting company the way you did.”

“Girl you can call me if you want to talk. Ok.”

“Now everybody wants to be a promoter girl, you better stop.”

“I don’t gamble, Floyd do, but I bet you – you won’t be promoting Floyd Mayweather no more. TMT PROMOTIONS.”

“I just want you to know if you ever want to talk you can give me a call girl.”

“Baby girl you hear me, stop hating STOP IT RIGHT NOW.”

De La Hoya responded with – “You’re a boxing promoter? Didn’t know, but good luck. Maybe we can work [together] someday. #success #nextgeneration #GBB #TMT.”

And 50 Cent fired off his final tweet – “Great back pedal, can you swim backwards like that too girl? LOL. I [accept] that as a[n] apology. #GBB #TMT more success a head.”

Well, Mayweather junior is working with De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions for the last six years and since he is the biggest draw in the sport, De La Hoya would definatley be worried.

Nevertheless, let’s see what happens when Mayweather comes out of the jail.
