Government appoints new defence secretary

Islamabad: (Friday, July 27, 2012) The Federal Government has decided to change the secretary for defence. According to news, the new man to take charge of this crucial position is former Corps Commander Peshawar, Lt General (Retd)
Asif Yasin Malik.
As per the official statement released by the government, Nargis Sethi, Yasin’s predecessor, will continue to serve the federal government as Secretary Cabinet Division.
The government intends to issue a formal notification in this regards soon.
