Remedy Rule and Gregoriy Tarasevich secure gold medals – YMCA National Championship

Remedy Rule and Gregoriy Tarasevich secured gold medals of the 200m backstroke in Women and Men’s corner respectively at the 2012 YMCA National Long Course Championship.

With her invincible pace, Rule enjoyed a lead of half body length over her closest rival and tapped the finishing blockade with the timing of 2 minutes and 18.22 seconds.

The gold medallist was chased by Maggie Miller, who stayed almost half a second slower from her and hit the finishing wall for second position with an effort of 2 minutes and 18.69 seconds.

The second position holder was trailed by Ali Galyer, who remained 0.41 seconds slower and settled on the victory stand for bronze medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 19.10 seconds.

Fourth position of the race was secured by Lindsay Temple, who remained 0.42 seconds apart and submitted a time of 2 minutes and 19.52 seconds.

The 16-year-old Temple was followed by Morgan Carr, who was only 0.22 seconds behind and made her way to the finishing blockade for fifth position by hitting the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 19.74 seconds.

Following that, the audience witnessed gruelling efforts of Tarasevich, who captured gold medal of the equivalent event in Men’s category.

Tarasevich stayed four body lengths faster from his subsequent rival and hit the finishing wall for gold medal with the timing of 2 minutes and 01.01 seconds.

His gold winning effort remained 4.48 seconds faster from Nic Graesser, who settled on the finishing blockade as second position holder by producing a time of 2 minutes and 05.49 seconds.

Third position of the race was secured by Kyle Patnode, who was one and a half body length apart from his former finisher and posted a time of 2 minutes and 07.03 seconds.

Similarly, Patnode was followed by Eric Kim, who was only 0.14 seconds away from overpowering the bronze medallist and ended fourth in the discipline with the timing of 2 minutes and 07.17 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the completion of all listed events while the position holders received medals after the session.
