David Haye challenges ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Tom Hardy for a fight!
Monday, July 30th, 2012 2:47:47 by Imran Shaukat KhanFormer WBA heavyweight champion David Haye secured an impressive fifth-round knockout win over former British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora in their grudge match earlier this month at the West Ham Upton Park Stadium in east London and now he has challenged Hollywood actor Tom Hardy, who will play the lead role in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
Hardy has trained hard to get in a very good shape for his role in the mixed-martial arts movie Warrior and also for his part as Bane in the third part of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and apparently this is the main reason why the Brit wants to fight him.
“Tom has got in fantastic shape. He looks like an absolute tank. But I think I could take him on – I’ll take him on for sure,” Haye told the Sun.
“Me and Tom Hardy, that would be a good fight for sure. He can be my next opponent.”
He revealed: “Vitali meets Manuel Charr in September and has to win, then we’ll see the outcome of the elections in October.
Well, this was certainly a joke from Haye because the 31-year-old brash Londoner, who is more commonly known as the Hayemaker, is hoping to set up a mega-fight with the current WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.
Vitali will defend his title against Manuel Charr on September 8 and he might take on Haye afterwards since the news was recently confirmed by Bernard Boente, who manages both Klitschko brothers.
“There is still a chance the fight will come but not this year. It will probably be in England on pay-per-view next year, possibly in March.”
Nevertheless, if the fight doesn’t take place, Haye would start making his efforts to enter in Hollywood.
“I was born to play the bad guy role. Maybe it’s because there’s a villain in me. I know I could look menacing on screen,” he said.
Well, all said and done, let’s see if David Haye sets up a fight with Vitali Klitschko or not.
