‘Dark Knight Rises’ actor Tom Hardy agrees to fight David Haye!

Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, who knocked out former British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora earlier this month, recently challenged ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ star Tom Hardy for a fight after being impressed by his physique. Haye was obviously joking but surprisingly the brave star has accepted the challenge from the two-weight king.

The actor, who bulked up his physique to play Bane in the new Blockbuster released this summer, stated that he would fight Haye at his convenience on his return to the UK.

Hardy admitted he has never fought anyone in real before but he will fight Haye for the sake of an experience.

“I’ve never fought a professional heavyweight, it’ll be an experience,” Tom told British newspaper The Sun. “I would obviously prefer my first professional fight to be against someone in my weight category but hey-ho.”

Hardy, who has been a part of many hit Hollywood movies like ‘Bronson’, ‘Inception’, ‘Tinker’, ‘Tailor’, ‘Soldier’, ‘Spy’, however has one condition for his potential fight in the ring. The actor has said he would only fight Haye if he agrees to donate all money made to the charity.

“Hardy v Hayemaker [David’s boxing name]? No problem. Let me take my make-up off first. I’ll fight him as soon as I get back from the Congo with my mates if he wants,” Tom joked. “This is sort of like Mickey Rourke. But Mickey’s a better actor and boxer than me. How about singing lessons instead?”

The fighting talk between Hardy and Haye started after the Hayemaker said he would love to climb into the ring with the Hollywood star.

“Me and Tom Hardy, that would be a good fight for sure,” David said. “He has got in fantastic shape — he looks like an absolute tank. He can be my next opponent.”

Well, all said and done, Haye is actually after the current WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko but his fight with Hardy will also pull a huge crowd.
