Terming his remarks as daydreaming, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has criticized President Asif Ali Zardari’s remarks about clean-sweep victory in the upcoming polls.

Asking him to quit daydreaming, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who is also a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said the government had made the lives of already hapless people miserable and Asif Ali Zardari was talking of a clean-sweep victory.

He noted, “It seems he is living in another country. The people are praying for an exit of the rulers while the rulers are dreaming of another term in the office.  They (rulers) must keep in mind that the circumstances have changed dramatically”.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was of the opinion that the reality was that the rulers have destroyed national resources for their vested interests and masses were suffering due to it.

Regretfully he said that the president of the country was oblivious to the ground realities and real situation of the people. The opposition leader added, “Corruption and lack of communication with the people have brought the country to such a point that people will made the PPP a thing of past”.

Chaudhry Nisar in an ironic tone said imposition of President Zardari on the country was not less than wrath of God.

Earlier on Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari claimed that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) will clean sweep in the upcoming general elections and it will form up government in all the four provinces, including Punjab.

Terming Sindh as the base camp of his party, the president said the government had initiated mega projects for the economic growth and development in the region. He was of the opinion that they believe in a system of democracy and had never used back-doors to come into power.

However, his remarks ignited Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the second largest party in the parliament. As the elections are coming close, the political parties started counting their achievements and faults of other parties.
