iMore: Apple expected to release iPhone 5 on September 12 – Apple Rumours

Apple has always been tightly totted along in the rumours when a new iPhone inches near its launch. iMore, an online blog mainly dedicated to news related to Apple products, has revealed that the new iPhone will be launched on September 21, 2012.

According to accredited technology news website, citing iMore’s claims, stated, “iMore says that Apple will announce the two devices at a special event on Wednesday, September 12. The iPhone 5 itself would then go on sale 9 days later on Friday, September 21.”

There are more news related to the iPhone’s release but most of them have already been the promulgated to the public by various other sources. However, iMore’s authenticity in Apple rumours and success rate of such hearsay have led to its legitimacy to greater lengths.

iMore has seconded the already airing news that the new iPhone will be thinner and will have a longer screen with the same width. The diagonal height of the screen is 4 inches and it comes in 16:9 ratio.

Moreover, the website also confirmed the word in the public about the dock in the new iPhone. According to iMore, all the upcoming iOS devices will have a 19-pin dock instead of the current 30-pin jack.

Further news from the source suggests that Apple might release the iPad Mini, the new iPod Touch and the iPod Nano at the same date. Apple has been known to augment the iPhone launch event with iPod and iPad updates. However, this time they are expect to release the actual products with the main iOS device.

The release of the new iPhone in September is of tangible significance to the company. Though the 2011 release of iPhone 4S in October resulted in a blockbuster, record-breaking sales in the forth calendar quarter, but it taxed the sales in the third quarter because people held of their purchase of new iPhone before the launch.

The September launch will certainly reflect a good image on the third quarter followed by a promising forth period.
