AGPR Joint Action Committee decides to end strike

The decision to end the strike was made by the Joint Action Committee (JAC), that was convened to reconsider the earlier decision to go on strike. The sources in the AGPR said that the decision has been taken in respect of the
holy month of Ramadan, however, it was decided in the JAC meeting that if the already communicated demands are not met, the salaries of the government employees would be withheld on the eve of Eid.
Commenting on their decision to get back to the work, JAC said that the disbursement of salaries of the employees of federal and provincial governments would start from today.
It is worth mentioning over here that the AGPR employees have been demanding their salaries to be doubled and the murderer of Lahore AGPR employee Bukhsh Ilahi be arrested.
