Indian F.A to imitate Spanish model

The Indian Football Association will be looking to emulate La Roja in order to succeed in the International arena.

Wim Koevermans, who has played in the European Championships, and is now currently the Technical Director of the AIFF has voiced his optimism as the team look to change their fortunes, claiming that they will look emulate the blue print of success of the
Spanish National side.

“I am in a completely different culture. You need to know how to get the message across, how to work with the players and with the backroom staff. That’s an interesting challenge for me but one I am looking forward to.”

“I have a very positive impression. I think we can try and implement a different style of play that suits the players. The players are most important in the choice you make on how to play. If you ask them to play like Spain that will be something stupid
because the Indian players are not the Spanish players,” he said.
