Interpol rejects Pakistan’s request to issue red warrants for Pervez Musharraf

The Interpol on Wednesday rejected Pakistan’s request to issue a red warrant against former president and military chief General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, citing insufficient documentation for the purpose.
The Interpol said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had sent insufficient documents for the purpose of issuing a red warrant against former president of the country.
A statement issued by the international law enforcement agency said it could issue red warrants based on the evidences offered for the arrest of Pervez Musharraf.
The FIA has sent a request to the Interpol with attachments of investigation reports, copies of statements by then director-general of ISI’s counter-intelligence wing Javed Iqbal Cheema and the former director general of Intelligence Bureau, Ejaz Shah, US-based journalist Marc Siegel’s email to Benazir Bhutto and copies of the orders issued by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
It is vital to mention here that Britain has also rejected Pakistan’s rejected of extradition to Pervez Musharraf, citing that the two countries have not formal treaty between them in this regard.
Musharraf, who ruled the country for almost a decade, is an accused in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case and an Anti Terrorism Court had declared him an absconder and ordered to freeze his assets.
The ATC issued arrest warrants in the light of FIA’s challan in the case of suicide attack on Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi in 2007 and due to Pervez Musharraf’s continued absence from attending court proceedings.

A right decession by the Interpol,as procesecution in this country by politicans are nothing but malifide intentions and cheap measures, which now the world knows better than anyone else.
Shame on us… always accused our former leader without base, just on the basis of conspiracy theory…. he is quite loyal to US but also loyal to Pakistan first and not seems to be a hypocrite like Zardari.
To my view-point, it is not the matter of absence of Musharraf, former president of Pakistan, but, we should think into the matter, with depth of the deal, made between Musharraf and the present President of Pakistan.Mr. Bilawal Zardari seems to be a little kid, in issuing such comments. He should also peruse, as who let Musharraf leave the country, with a proper guard of honour. In case, Bilawal Zardari thinks that Musharraf is a KILLER of his mother, he should first talked to his father. These cases are aftermath and after Musharraf departure.All readers should think and offer comments.
its wrong to issue red warrents of mushraf. If he was accused of anything then why the ruling party let him alow to go out of country. If being a president he is thought to be the security officer of Late Benazir then current president, prime minister and interior minister are also the security officer of the people of pakistan. Then why dont they r being held responsible of yhe killings in karachi and Balocjistan
