Sunny Leone: I will wait for audiences to accept me beyond the erotic genre!

The Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone is all set for her first Bollywood ride with Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming film ‘Jism 2’, which is a sequel to the 2003 hit film ‘Jism’.

‘Jism 2’ is slated to hit the cinemas on August 3 and therefore Leone has come back in India once again in order to promote her film.

While sharing her thoughts in an interview, the 31-year-old stated she knows she is a porn star and this tag will never go away. However, she said she is hoping that after ‘Jism 2’ people start associating her more with Bollywood than pornography.

“I am who I am. I know the images people conjure of me as an adult actor, but I am not ashamed of anything I do or did. Though I do hope that after Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2, they associate me more with Bollywood than just adult movies,” she said.

Leone, who rose to fame during her stint in the ‘Bigg Boss 5’ house, locked headlines during the shooting of ‘Jism 2’ as it was being said as if she is having problems while doing the lovemaking scenes but when asked, Leone rejected all rumours.

“You don’t ever stop acting, whether it’s an adult movie or a Bollywood film, and so it’s easy to keep a check of where it’s all going. And trust me with an entire crew around, there’s no ‘getting caught in the moment’ happening,” she remarked.

The enormous hype behind ‘Jism 2’ is only because of Sunny Leone, who has become a household name in India now. The film was offered to her on a platter because of her profession but she believes that not every film will come to her that easy.

“It might take filmmakers and the audience time to accept me beyond the erotic genre, but I am willing to wait,” she added.

Along with Leone, Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh will play the lead roles in the movie.
