Daniel Gyurta and Jiao Liuyang won gold medals of the Men’s 200m breaststroke and Women’s 200m butterfly respectively at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
With his alluring pace, Gyurta remained marginally ahead of his closest competitor over the finishing wall as he occupied gold medal of the discipline with the timing of 2 minutes and 07.28 seconds.
His record shattering pace remained 0.15 seconds faster from Michael Jamieson of Great Britain, who followed him on the victory stand for silver medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 07.43 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Ryo Tateishi of Japan, who stayed full body length apart and hit the finishing wall for bronze medal by submitting an effort of 2 minutes and 08.29 seconds.
Tateishi remained only 0.06 seconds ahead of defending champion, Kosuke Kitajima, who failed to meet expectations of his followers and finished his swim in fourth place by producing a time of 2 minutes and 08.35 seconds.
Similarly, Kitajima was chased by Scott Weltz of USA, who stayed 0.67 seconds apart and ended his race in fifth best place by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 09.02 seconds.
After that, the crowd experience gruelling form of Liuyang in the distant butterfly discipline. With her astonishing efforts, she remained one and a half body length faster from her following swimmer and hit the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 04.86
seconds.
The champion was chased by Mireia Belmonte Garcia of Spain, who was 1.39 seconds apart and ended her sprint in a time of 2 minutes and 05.25 seconds.
The second position holder was trailed by Natsumi Hoshi of Japan, who stayed 0.23 seconds apart and touched the finishing end for bronze medal by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 05.48 seconds.
Subsequently, Hoshi was followed by Kathleen Hersey of USA, who was only 0.30 seconds slower from overpowering her former finisher and touched the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 05.78 seconds.
Furthermore, the position holders received medals for their gruelling forms after the session.
