He observed, “There are many things I will tell you on record and there are many that I will not be able to divulge in open house. The political situation of this region, the security situation of the region, the game of this world power will be essence of the briefing”.
He asserted that they would not separate the province from the country, adding that he would not play blame game.
The minister stated, “So when I give that briefing on camera, you will understand what is happening with us and to what extent it can be compared with East Pakistan. I will give you some details”.
He offered to come Friday again if it today’s briefing was not enough for the chairman. He said that he wants to give briefing on camera so they could give answer of the questions, and tell people what was happening with them in the province.
Rehman Malik claimed that he had evidences that Laskhar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) coupled with BLA was contributing to the aggravating situation in Balochistan. Lamenting prayer offered for the militants, he said nobody raised voice for the martyrs.
He said that most of the PSP posts were lying vacant in the province as no officer was ready to discharge duty there, adding that the government had decided that no officer would be given promotion if he didn’t serve at least for three years in Balochistan.
The interior minister said that the president had tendered apology over the excesses committed to the Baloch.
He said after the passage of the 18th amendment, law and order had become a provincial subject. However, he said the federal government could not turn blind eye.
