Ephedrine Case: Supreme Court adjourns hearing until Aug 8
Monday, August 6th, 2012 10:14:26 by Fayyaz YaseenIslamabad: (Monday, August 06, 2012) The Supreme Court of Pakistan, while hearing the ephedrine case here today, sought a written complaint from the Anti Narcotics Force that informed the court that the Federal Investigation Agency
(FIA) officials are not cooperating in the investigation and have failed to place known personalities under investigation on the Exit Control List (ECL).
As the case proceeded today, Brigadier Fahim, the investigating officer of the case, informed the court that Ali Musa Gilani, Khushnood Lashari and others had not been placed on the ECL despite request being sent to the Ministry
of Interior about eight months ago.
Sharing his remarks during the hearing, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the entire world is awaiting for the outcome of this case.
Today, the court also approved extension in Ali Musa Gilani and Makhdoom Shahabuddin’s bail for one week.
The hearing of the case has been adjourned till August 8.
