Shahbaz in office due to a legal stay order: Rehman Malik
Monday, August 6th, 2012 10:31:39 by Fayyaz YaseenKarachi: (Monday, August 06, 2012) Rehman Malik, advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Affairs, said here today that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is in his office for past four years only because of a legal stay order.
Malik, who was talking to the media personnel at Karachi airport, denied having a role in the drift between veteran politician Zulfiqar Khosa and the PML-N leadership. He said that the Pakistan People’s Party has not invited him
to join the party, but the doors are open for everyone.
Talking about law and order situation in the financial capital of Pakistan, Malik said that 26 accused had been arrested for extorting money in Karachi. He said that the government is taking the right measure to uproot extortions
in the provincial capital.
Malik also said that every incident of killing in the city should not be labeled as target killing.
Sharing his remarks over the situation in Balochistan, Malik said that the people of the province are aware of the fact that the foreign hand is responsible for the ongoing unrest.
Claiming that he knows names of the countries who are responsible behind this protracted unrest in the largest province of Pakistan, he said, “I would reveal the names of some more countries involved in causing disturbance in Balochistan
in the next in-camera briefing.”
Talking about Balochistan Liberation Army’s (BLA) activities in the province, prime minister’s advisor on internal affairs said that even the Balochi people were becoming victims of the atrocities and terrorism inflicted by the
BLA.
He said that the people of Balochistan love Pakistan and the unrest in the province is only a result of the pre-conceived conspiracy.
