Ex-OGRA chairman hiding in Lahore: NAB informs SC

appointment of former OGRA chairman Tauqeer Sadiq.
Headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, a three member bench of the apex court heard the contempt of court in Tauqeer Sadiq case here today.
While sharing details of the findings of its investigations, the NAB deputy prosecutor general presented his report on the appointment of former OGRA chairman and further informed the court that Tauqeer Sadiq is hiding in Lahore.
He said that the Punjab police was not cooperating in arresting the culprit.
Presenting details before the Supreme Court bench, the investigation officer said that Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was chairman of the interview board while secretaries Zafar Mehmood and Nargis Sethi were members at the illegal appointment
of Tauqeer Sadiq.
He further said that Yusuf Raza Gilani was the man in charge (Prime Minister) at that time and that they all were involved in the illegal appointment.
Giving his remarks after hearing details of the case, the Chief Justice said that the court would provide protection to the investigation officer. However, after going through the report, the CJ also said that it seemed the chairman
NAB was not complying with the court orders.
