Press conference against SC: PPP expels Senator Abidi from CEC

conference against the higher judiciary.
Commenting on Abidi’s move that only brought humiliation to a PPP that is already perceived to be at daggers drawn against judiciary, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman
Kaira said after an Iftar dinner that they did not endorse Faisal Raza Abidi’s views against the judiciary.
They also said that Abidi did not represent the PPP.
When asked to comment on Abidi’s press conference, and whether he has any clarifications, Kaira said, “I am the spokesman of People’s Party and not Faisal Raza Abidi.”
Responding to a query as to what is expected to happen on August 8, when the court is expected announce its verdict over the case pertinent to writing the letter to the Swiss authorities, PM Ashraf said that losing hope is against
the Islamic faith.
