Shahbaz’s complaints in CCI pay off, Mukhtar orders for uniform loadshedding
Thursday, August 9th, 2012 2:36:36 by Fayyaz YaseenIslamabad: (Wednesday, August 8, 2012) Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, the Federal Minister for Water and Power has responded to the complaints mentioned by the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in the council of the common interest
and has ordered for uniform loadshedding in the entire country.
After Mukhtar’s orders, the Energy Management Committee (EMC) will review the existing loadshedding plan and would carry out uniform loadshedding in rural and urban parts of Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, Mukhtar issued the above mentioned directives as he presided over a meeting of the EMC over here.
During the meeting, the federal minister for water and power ordered EMC to ensure supply of electricity to distribution companies in accordance with their respective shares and to put an end to unscheduled power outages.
Sharing his remarks during the meeting, Mukhtar said that uninterrupted supply of electricity was the government’s foremost priority. He further said that all the available resources are being employed to increase generation of
electricity.
