Eid-ul-Fitr ‘most likely’ to be on August 20th
Sunday, August 12th, 2012 2:46:33 by Ahmad MehdiEidul Fitr is expected to fall on August 20 in Pakistan as the first moon of Shawwal is expected to be visible on August 19 instead of 18, thus Pakistanis are likely to have a 30-day Ramazan. “Weather conditions are going to be partially cloudy in
the upper areas making moon-sighting highly unlikely,” the Met officials said.
The position and angles of the new moon at the time of sunset are also favourable for moon-sighting on that day, they added.
