Top ten tourist places in Pakistan (Part Four)

In the last episode of the four-part series, we will take a look at the beauties of Deoasai Plateau, Hunza and Neelum Valley.

Deoasai Plateau (Skardu)

After Tibet, it is the second highest plateau in the world and tundra like landscape bursts into life in summers with a large variety of blossoming flowers.

It offers great trout fishing, camping and rare Himalayan Brown Bear spotting opportunities while the massive Rupal face of Nanga Parbat is also accessible from this place.

On the high plateau, there are very special plants and flowers. The plain is dotted with Edelweiss, in the Alps a protected flower.
Apart from the myth of fairies, this place is the habitat of the greatly threatened Himalayan Brown Bear and white cheetahs.

At an average elevation of 3,500 meter, Deosai officially is a National Park and protected area for wildlife.

Hunza: Gilgit-Baltistan

Hunza valley is famous for its apricots, legends of longevity, Hunza water (an alcoholic drink!) and the gigantic Rakaposhi, this place is guaranteed to live in your memories for ever.

Nature seems to be very generous in its blessing on the valley .The whole valley is surrounded with snow capped mountains and the heart catching fragrance of Alpine flowers.

The scenic beauty of the valley is difficult to be expressed in the words. The rushing streams, high mountains, alpine flowers are just the few ingredients that make this valley a real heavenly sight on earth.

Neelum Valley: Kashmir

Neelum valley is very beautiful place in Azad Kashmir. It is a 144 kilometers long bow-shaped deeply forested region next to Muzaffarabad.

This ninety-mile long kingdom of vegetation is ripped apart by the indigo blue Neelum river which flows serpentinely down hills to merge itself into the river Jhelum at Domail.

Excellent scenic beauty, panoramic views, towering hills on both sides of the noisy Neelum River, lush green forests, enchanting streams and attractive surroundings makes the valley more attractive.
