Smartphones and wannabees not to buy despite low price – Part 1

There are smartphones and there are old java-based phones, and then there are smartphone-wannabees that neither can stand their side nor can they live in the smartphone world. A smartphone takes a lot of effort to design and then the software and if it is not a smartphone then the manufacturer has to bring in the software all by themselves.

Therefore, it is always a failure for those phones that either do not anticipate the market and its future needs or present the world with something that is old and not trendy. The trend in the West that certain phones are presented by the carriers, in some cases does not help the cause as well. The smartphones that have a slow carrier are instantly forgotten and those with a slow hardware and/or software are not remembered for a long time either.

There are certain examples in the market that have not learned from past experiences and still keep pushing their products into the space in the name of cheap handsets. However, if it has not dawned on them yet, the market has some fast and inexpensive smartphones. The likes of Nokia Lumia 900 and Motorola Droid Razr Maxx are some of the examples that have faster 3G HSPA+ and 4G LTE technologies to top off the best hardware in the respective categories.

On the other hand, following are some of the examples in the market either have a slow hardware and/or software. Before you go ahead and buy one of these handsets look out if there are any alternatives that are generating supportive press.
