P.O.D made up for Papa Roach’s absence at Grand Rapids

P.O.D, an American rock band, covered their last slot on Tuesday, August 21.
“Headed to Grand Rapids. Papa Roach dropped off today’s show so we’re covering their slot last minute. Prayers 4 Jacoby to heal his vocals”, the band’s official twitter account tweeted.
Shaddix revealed in mid-July that he was having some vocal issues. He stated that he had a node that had started forming on his vocal cords and would do everything possible to make sure he was ready for the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival.
While talking to Loudwire.com, Shaddix explained, “I think I’ll be alright. I’ve got a speech and vocal therapist at the current time to learn how to sing through this and work through this and take care of myself. Really it’s just a matter of having a little bit more discipline than I’m used to, you know, as far as vocal rest and warm ups and cool downs and all that kind of stuff. [I’m looking at] what I eat, and it’s really coming down to more discipline and I’m up for it. I’ve got a job to do. I’ve got to go rock motherf—ers.”
While we wait to see how this plays out, be sure to check out the newly posted kinetic typography lyric video for the group’s current single ‘Still Swingin’.’ Papa Roach’s ‘The Connection‘ album arrives Oct. 2.
